»One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.«
In times of unimaginable antiquity, the Rings of Power were created by the Elves, and Sauron, the Dark Lord, secretly forged the One Ring and filled it with his power, so that he could rule over all other rings and their bearers.
The One Ring was taken from Sauron over time and no matter how much he searched for it throughout Middle-earth, it remained lost to him. Ages later, the ring falls into the hands of the hobbit Bilbo Baggins, who passes it on to his nephew Frodo … and so begins the greatest and most dangerous adventure in fantasy literature.
