For over fifty years, the world has been firmly in the grip of video games. While grandparents dueled at Pong machines, mom and dad were happy about the Super Nintendo under the Christmas tree. Nowadays, you can replay the Champions League final against your best friend in London online in FIFA, or let the beautiful Final Fantasy VII remake digitally spoil your eyeballs.
As a child of the seventies, Gregor Kartsios experienced the fascinating history of gaming firsthand and has now meticulously documented it. From the trench warfare between Atari and Commodore to the space adventures of Lord British to the legendary urge of Super Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto to jump into dark holes, everything is included.
A nostalgic journey full of facts, anecdotes, exciting stories and of course Pokémon.
