Great weapon craftsmanship in a small format: The Longclaw sword as a miniature replica. It is the impressive blade of Jon Snow, the bastard of Eddard Stark and one of the most important characters in the book series ‚A Song of Ice and Fire‘ and the TV series ‚Game of Thrones‘.
Longclaw was long in the possession of the Lords of Bear Island. Most recently, it was with Jeor Mormont, the leader of the Night’s Watch. On a fateful night, his servant Jon Snow, along with direwolf Ghost, saved his life – and received this sword as thanks.
Its old, silver-colored bear pommel and the sword handle burned in that night, but the noble blade survived. At Jeor’s request, these parts were replaced with a wolf motif for Jon. Jon kept the name Longclaw because: ‚Wolves have claws like bears too.‘
A great movie sword, impressive in its original form and as a miniature.
