LARP – An Introduction to a Fantastic Hobby

Who hasn’t dreamed of sneaking through dark corridors or a spooky forest like the heroes in movies, books or games, fighting bravely against monsters, aliens or other villains, and cracking tricky puzzles? A way to get a little closer to these dreams is offered by the hobby of live role-playing, also known as LARP (from Live Action Role Playing).

But what can I expect from such a live role-playing game? Where do these events take place? And: What on earth should I wear? All these are thoughts that rightly occupy a newcomer. The book LARP – An Introduction to a Fantastic Hobby provides answers to these and other questions. It explains the most important terms, presents different game variants and portrayal possibilities, and gives tips on the necessary equipment. The book is intended to help beginners get started in this fascinating hobby and also to encourage them to find their own style of play.
